Deven and Kat, buddies for over two years from Victoria, share what a Best Buddies friendship
has meant to them:

Best Buddies for me has been very enjoyable. I have been paired up with a lovely girl and her name is Katherine and we have been best buddies for two years.
Katherine has come into my life and has shown me a whole different side of life. She has shown me different hair styles and has included me in her family and friends. Best Buddies for me has been an awesome experience. I never thought I would ever have a best buddy. Katherine and I go shopping, go out to the movies and have dinner in restaurants.
Highlights of my Best Buddies journey so far are going with Katherine and her sister Ann out to a night club called Rymers. Katherine did my hair and Ann did my makeup. It was such a brilliant night that we are going to go again. Katherine and I don’t see each other as best friends- we are like sisters.

At first, joining Best Buddies was a bit daunting. When meeting my buddy Deven we were both really shy and didn't know what to expect. But we pulled through the awkward moments and eventually we realised how much we have in common and how much fun we have together.
We have been best buddies for two years now. We both enjoy each others’ company whether it be a pig-out day at home watching DVDs, a shopping spree in the city or just a little catch up on
the phone or internet.
It is always really exciting meeting up with the rest of the Best Buddies girls at the group activities. I really enjoy going to Heatherwood, playing games and catching up with them all, seeing how they are going and what they are achieving.
At the end of the day Deven and I are really just like sisters. We are there for each other and we go though our ups and downs together. We are always keen on trying new things so we never get bored! I think that joining Best Buddies has really opened up a new door for both of us and we have really benefited extensively.
