In October, Buddy Pairs from the Doncaster Secondary College and Heatherwood School Chapter in Melbourne ventured into the CBD to take in the World Festival of Magic on its local tour.
It was one of the first warm days of spring, so it was lovely weather for the walk to and from the train station. The students were lucky to get good seats at Festival Hall, which was completely packed with standing room only by the time the show started. They enjoyed some very clever and hilarious antics by magicians and other performers.
Buddy pairs were re-energised for more fun in the second half of the show after a sweet treat during interval. The favourite act by far was an amazing display of balance; one of the performers tossed four tea cups and saucers, one at a time, from his foot on to his head!
The group finished off with a delicious lunch in the city before heading home. It was a fantastic way to spend a beautiful spring day.
