Congratulations to Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt Campus for running a successful sausage sizzle fundraiser for their group at school on Friday March 12th.
Preparations commenced weeks ago with Best Buddies Treasurer Kurtis taking responsibility for sourcing the best deal from a local butcher for their needs and negotiations taking place with a local supermarket to bulk buy bread, sauces and serviettes.
Over $280 was raised from selling meat and vegetarian sausages tucked into a piece of bread with BBQ or tomato sauces optional extras. Chapter President Matt Meharg assigned each buddy pair a station to man. Be it taking money, distributing food tickets, dishing out sausages or adding sauces, each pair played a vital part in the day whilst getting to spend some quality time with their buddy.
Lots of fun was had by all and the smell of cooking sausages soon attracted attentive teachers and students to buy their lunch!
