Lunch time was a veritable feeding frenzy at Leichhardt High School on Friday 19 June, as the Best Buddies Australia Leichhardt Chapter held its annual BBQ fundraiser. The Best Buddies crew had prepared almost 200 sausages ready for the lunch time crowd however were totally unprepared for the mass of hungry teenagers who consumed the lot within 15 minutes.
Special guest , Best Buddies Ambassador Deborah Hutton commented that the students were a credit to the school and the community:"These kids are great, they contribute to the community and really show what being a mate is all about”
All money raised will remain with the school group and support the Chapter in having fun and furthering the cause of Best Buddies and social inclusion.
