Kellyville High School Best Buddies Chapter recently held a Community Activity for their 57 members. Buddy Dylan tells us about the day....
"On Friday 17th September with our Best Buddies we planted around 900 trees at Bernie Mullane Reserve. We wore mufti, long sleeves, long trousers, closed shoes and a hat as well as sunscreen. We broke up into 3 groups and rotated through three activities: Planting, Sports Activities and the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks.
"We had lots of fun learning how to plant trees. We had to dig up the soil then take the plants out of their containers, put the plants into the soil and pat the soil back around the plants. The Gardener at Bernie demonstrated the way we should plant the trees.
"While watching the movie, we enjoyed jam donuts with our Best Buddies and Natalie from Best Buddies set up our personal passwords so we can now access the Best Buddies Website.
"It was a brilliant day! We all enjoyed ourselves."
