Everyone loves to get dressed up and look their very best for a night out. Well one lucky high school buddy pair recently received the chance to do just that with a free makeover experience at the hands of professional city makeup artist Gemma Nichols. Gemma, (shown at right in action) kindly volunteered her time to support students in her community involved in Best Buddies through her connection with another BBA volunteer Olivia Nasser.
On the day, our buddies Jessica and Emily from Leichhardt had arranged to go for dinner at a local Italian restaurant (well what else would it be in Leichhardt?!) Gemma arrived following a short tour of the local area and equipped with a big bag filled with all the tools of her trade. Over 45 minutes she showed them how to apply base, colours to suit their style and colouring, mascara and gloss. The girls were thrilled with the experience and enjoyed their distinctive end results.
A big thankyou to Gemma for giving her valuable time to share tips and tricks of professional make up application and most importantly providing such a special opportunity for Jessica and Emily to spend time together as a buddy pair.
