March 31st was a special morning for Sydney Secondary College - Balmain Campus. As our newest Best Buddies Australia school group, they had their first Chapter Meeting. To get things going at a CRACKING pace, the newly formed Officer group decided to hold an Easter Egg Hunt and Morning Tea.
Thwarted somewhat by the damp and rainy morning, the hunt was moved inside. 5 buddy pairs jostled and craned to find every last egg hidden by teacher Ann Lee around the sizeable meeting room. Catching a glimpse of tantalising foil, shouts of excitement were heard...until eventually all the eggs were found.
The group were joined for morning tea of hot cross buns, anzac biccies and passion fruit slice by two special guests; Doreen Wilson - College Principal and Deborah Hutton - Best Buddies Australia Ambassador. It was a chance for new buddy pairs to chat and make plans for the Easter break and for all to tuck in!
It was a fun and enjoyable morning. Best Buddies would like to congratulate all the students involved at Balmain Campus on making a fantastic start to their friendship. We would also like to thank all the teachers involved for their support, especially Ms Lee.
