Best Buddies Australia is very pleased to announce an exciting new friendship with the Sylvanvale Foundation and The Spastic Centre that will allow us to provide the first NSW Citizen’s Program in Sydney.
This is great news and adds significantly to our service delivery in NSW. This also allows us to provide the much needed add on to our highly successful NSW High Schools Program.
Best Buddies has been delivering this program successfully in Victoria for some time now and this new partnership allows us to bring our expertise and experience to the NSW Community.
The Program will focus on adults who have an intellectual disability and will provide one to one friendships to a population of people who are often isolated and excluded. Buddies will be drawn from The Spastic Centre and the Sylvanvale Foundation and we expect the Program Manager to manage approximately 45-55 Buddy Pairs.
Best Buddies is at the beginning of the recruitment process and hope to have the Program Manager up and running within the next few months.
