Our Purpose

Our Mission

To establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Our Vision

BBA’s vision for Australia is to create communities where people with intellectual disability are so successfully included in our schools, workplaces and social activities that the structured work of the BBA Program will no longer be necessary

Our Values

BBA Believes that the core values that we ascribe to should be present in all aspects of the organisation. Our core values are:

  • Friendship
  • Respect
  • Courage
  • Positivity
  • Compassion

Our Objectives

  • To facilitate friendship opportunities between people with and without intellectual disability
  • To reduce the current barriers to full and meaningful participation of people with intellectual disabilities within our community.
  • To establish a national network of BBA Offices throughout Australia
  • To establish and further partnerships with the business community and with corporate and government sectors to ensure their continuing support.
